This plein air landscape was painted at Blackwood Farm Park in Hillsborough, North Carolina, as part of the "Paint it Orange" event hosted by the Orange County Arts Commission. The composition centers on a solitary tree catching warm sunlight against a backdrop of rolling fields in rich golds and a distant water tower rising on the horizon beneath a soft, cloud-filled sky. Painted with economical brushwork during this community paint-out, the piece captures the peaceful agricultural character of this local park and the quality of early morning light across open farmland.
Printed on archival, heavy-weight paper and includes a 1/4” border on all sides.
