This intimate study focuses on the base of a tree trunk in the artist's yard in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, capturing the interplay of light and shadow on bark and forest floor. Rich burnt sienna tones dominate the composition, contrasting with the cool grays and mossy greens of the weathered trunk. The energetic, swirling brushwork conveys the texture of fallen pine needles and the dappled light filtering through the canopy above.
Printed on archival, heavy-weight paper and includes a 1/4” border on all sides.
At this time, I am not able to offer framing services for prints.
The original piece is available here.
