This plein air study captures the expansive beauty of the Bodie Island Marsh south of Nags Head, North Carolina, where golden marsh grasses meet calm coastal waters. The composition layers bands of warm ochre and tan marsh vegetation against a dark tree line and pale sky, creating a rhythmic sense of depth and distance. Painted with economical brushwork and a restrained palette, the piece conveys the quiet majesty of the Outer Banks' maritime landscape.
Printed on archival, heavy-weight paper and includes a 1/4” border on all sides.
